The young Spitfires are victorious in a 11 goal thriller in Cornwall to earn a place in the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup.

After going into half time at 3-3 the young Spitfires responded well scoring five in the second half.

Joe Ryan capped off the impressive team performance with a hat-trick to help them on their way.

A rapid start from the young Spitfires saw them go a goal ahead just 3 minutes in with a well placed finish by Kyran Samadi.

Joe Ryan doubled their lead just two minutes later after being played through 1-on-1 with the Truro ‘keeper before he placed the ball into the bottom corner.

The hectic start to the game continued into the eighth minute as #10 got in behind the young Spitfires defence and powered a shot towards goal, Harrison got a hand to it but it wasn’t enough as the hosts pulled one back.

Truro earnt an indirect free-kick in the 14th minute that was cleared off the line by Femi.

Samadi bagged his second in the 18th minute when he caught a Truro defender napping and earnt the ball back from him before running through on goal and cooly slotting the ball home.

Oliver Harrison denied the hosts in the 34th minute with a smart save low in the middle of his goal.

Lewis Colvin almost grabbed another for the young Spitfires in the 38th minute but his close-range header was saved well by the Truro ‘keeper to deny him.

Truro scored their second of the night moments later as #9 placed the ball into the bottom left corner from a tight angle.

They then went on to earn a penalty that was struck home into the bottom right corner in the 42nd minute, bringing the score level.

Moments into the second half Ryan scored his second of the night to put the young Spitfires back into the lead.

Harrison made a fantastic double save in the 49th minute after there was a scuffle in the box.

Landa forced Truro’s ‘keeper into making a diving save moments later following a counter attack.

Sam Godfroy aimed a shot towards the bottom left corner from just outside the box in the 57th minute but his effort was saved comfortably by the Truro ‘keeper.

Bobby Gorman extended the lead in the 64th minute, he attempted to cross the ball into the box but his effort snuck its way into the back of the net via the post.

Ryan grabbed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute putting the young Spitfires three goals ahead going into the last 15 minutes of the game.

Landa scored the young Spitfires seventh of the night in the 79th minute before Godfroy scored their eighth in the 81st minute to put them five goals to the good.
