The Spitfires are back at home in their next National League clash as they face Ebbsfleet United under the lights at the Silverlake Stadium on Tuesday 3rd October, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

Eastleigh:

Richard Hill’s first match as permanent manager started off the way he would have liked, with the Spitfires coming away from the Shay Stadium with all three points in a 3-2 victory over Halifax Town.

A Chris Maguire penalty and a Paul McCallum brace sealed the win for Hills’ men, moving them into 13th position on 17 points.

McCallum has certainly been a key man in the Spitfires’ recent upturn in results, with the striker netting five in his last five – something he will be looking to continue.

Ebbsfleet United:

The away side have enjoyed a steady start to life back in the National League, with Dennis Kutrieb’s side sitting in 14th place, one point behind the Spitfires.

This is their first time back in the division since the 2019/20 season, with the side from Kent gaining promotion last year after accumulating 103 points in the National League South.

They come into this clash in fluctuating form and have won two of their last five, with their most recent result being a 3-1 win over 10-man Boreham Wood.

Previous Meetings:

Richard Hill will certainly be looking to change the Spitfires’ poor record against Ebbsfleet, with Eastleigh failing to beat them on their last seven occasions.

The two sides haven’t met since 2019 and both fixtures during that season ended 1-1.

However, the four meetings before that have all ended in an Ebbsfleet win, with the Spitfires’ last win against them coming in 2014 when they beat them 3-1 in the National League South.
