The Spitfires are back in action in the Vanarama National League as they host York City at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 21st October, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

Eastleigh:

Last time out the Spitfires beat Dover Athletic 1-0 in the Emirates FA Cup, to book themselves a place in the first round proper of the competition.

In their previous league game they made the 594 mile round trip up to Hartlepool but lost 3-1 so they will be looking to get themselves back into the points this weekend.

The Spitfires have made the most of their home games so far, they have won their last 3 games at the Silverlake Stadium and have only lost once all season there all season.

New-signing Jayden Harris could potentially be making his debut for the Spitfires after signing on loan from Carlisle in the week.

York City:

York City also progressed to the first round proper of the Emirates FA Cup but their route there was not quite as straight forward.

Needham Market held them to a 0-0 draw at the LNER Community Stadium to force a replay that York went on to win 1-0.

Last time out in the Vanarama National League York drew 2-2 with Bromley, with Dipo Akinyemi and Lenell John-Lewis scoring of them on the day.

They conceded a 94th minute equaliser that denied them back to back wins.

Since bringing in Neil Ardley The Minstermen have only lost twice in the 10 games, they will be hoping to continue that form as they visit the Silverlake Stadium.

Previous meetings:

When the two sides faced off at the LNER Community Stadium last season JJ McKiernan came up with a first-half goal to earn the Spitfires the three points on that day.

The Spitfires then went on to do the league double over York the last time the sides met at the Silverlake Stadium thanks to a freekick from Michael Kelly.

Before this the sides had not met in over 5 years.
