The Spitfires FA Cup journey begins as they host Dover Athletic at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 14th October, with a kick-off time of 3pm.

The Spitfires will be looking to bounce back after they came back empty handed after their long journey up to Hartlepool last weekend in the National League.

Chris Maguire scored a stunning free-kick in the first half but it was not enough as the Spitfires went on to lose 3-1.

Paul McCallum will be available again after serving his one-match suspension and will be hoping to continue his red hot form, he has scored five goals in his last two games for the Spitfires.

The Spitfires have progressed past the fourth qualifying round four years in a row now and will be wanting to continue that form as they face Dover Athletic.

Dover Athletic:

The Whites have not had the best start to the season in the National League South, only managing one win in their opening 11 games.

They drew 2-2 with Taunton Town last time out thanks to a late equaliser from Archie Hatcher.

The Kent based side beat Haringey Borough 2-1 to earn their spot in the fourth qualifying round with both goals coming from Zidane Sutherland to help them on their way.

Dover Athletic have not progressed past this stage for four years now and will be hoping to change their fortunes as they travel to Hampshire.

Last time the two sides met at the Silverlake Stadium the Spitfires came out victorious thanks to four first half goals through Ryan Hill, Harry Pritchard, Ben House and Josh Hare respectfully.

However Dover Athletic have had the better time of it overall in their previous five meetings, winning on three occasions.
