The youthful Spitfires suffered a 3-0 defeat against Dorchester Town in their penultimate pre-season friendly.
Dorchester Town had the first chance of the game when Leighton Thomas’s snapshot flew over the bar.
Possession within the opening ten minutes was even, with both sides having long spells with and without the ball.
Jordan Ngalo opened the scoring with a powerful long range effort arrowing into the bottom left corner past the outstretched Tommy Scott in the 20th minute.
The home side’s pressure continued as they netted a second through Trialist who capitalised on a goalkeeping error in the 29th.
The visitors had their first chance of the game through Kaya Tshaka who put a ball into the box but could only find the palms of Thomas in goal.
Dorchester countered quickly and got their reward after Leighton Thomas headed home from a dangerous cross to extend their lead to three with half time approaching.
Moments later, The Magpies struck the outside of the post after a powerful strike from Ngalo.
The home side didn’t ease the pressure as Ngalo fired an effort over the bar.
Eastleigh had the first effort of the second half after Trialist B’s shot was saved by the feet of Thomas.
Moments later, the Spitfires had a penalty appeal waved away after Lyle Simpson was tripped in the area.
Leighton Thomas fired wide with the hosts first chance of the second period in the 65th minute.
A weaving run by a Dorchester Trialist from inside his own half came to nothing as his shot was blocked and gathered easily by Scott.
There was little action to report for the rest of the game as the Spitfires suffered defeat in their penultimate pre-season friendly.
