Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to confirm that we today have received ratification from all the relevant authorities to enable SJD Leisure Limited to complete its takeover of the club.

The deal will see Stewart Donald purchase 85% of the shares, resulting in him owning a controlling stake in the club.

Stewart will become Chairman of Eastleigh Football Club and current Chairman, Tom Coffey, assuming the role of Vice-Chairman.

When asked about taking over the club, Stewart Donald said:

“I’m delighted to return to Eastleigh. It is no secret that I have a huge amount of affection for the club, the area, and the fans after my last time here. It is very close to my heart and to be able to return to continue the journey was impossible to resist.”

“When I first came to the club there was lots to do both on and off the pitch and it is no different now. I can’t wait to get started.”

Upon completion of the takeover, Tom Coffey said:

“The existing majority shareholders are delighted to agree a deal with Stewart. He is obviously well known to us, the fans, and the key stakeholders.”

“We are sure as a board there are exciting times ahead. Just like last time, Stewart’s impact for the football club will be hugely beneficial.”
