Eastleigh are on the road once again and this time, the Spitfires travel to the West Midlands to face Solihull Moors in the 14th matchday of the 2022/23 Vanarama National League campaign on Saturday, 22nd October with a 3:00pm kick-off. Preview in association with Unibet.
Solihull Moors:
In a week without National League action, Solihull Moors progressed into the FA Cup first round with a narrow 1-0 victory against Basford United who sits two leagues below the Moors.
Alex Reid moved level with Andrew Dallas at the top of Solihull Moors’ top goal scorer charts taking his tally to seven for the season by scoring in the cup.
The West Midlands club have won just once in their last five league fixtures so will be hoping the FA Cup victory will boost the confidence and help last season’s play-off finalists begin to reel in an eight-point gap on the leading pack of Notts County and Wrexham, having lost valuable ground on the pair due to their inconsistent run of performances.
Eastleigh:
Eastleigh also qualified for the FA Cup first round continuing their fine run of form with an impressive 3-1 comeback victory at Dorking Wanderers.
The unbeaten streak was extended to five matches with the victory in the cup and Eastleigh currently sit 10th in the Vanarama National League three points from today’s opposition and the play-off positions.
All three of the Spitfires’ top goal scorers found the back of the net in the FA Cup with Danny Whitehall consolidating his position at the top of the charts with five goals in the campaign so far.

Last season’s meetings between the two teams saw polar opposite matches play out with the fixture at The ARMCO Arena ending in a 5-3 defeat for Eastleigh, meanwhile, the reverse fixture ended in a goalless stalemate at the Silverlake Stadium.
