Gateshead:

The Tynesiders have had a rocky start to the season, accumulating only ten points from a possible 30 as they return to the National League for the first time in four years.

Gateshead are sat in 17th place going into this game, where a win could see them rise to as high as 13th place.

Mike Williamson’s side, however, have found some recent form having picked up seven points from their last four games.

Gateshead’s top scorers, Paul Blackett and Adam Campbell, have both scored four games each this season.

Eastleigh:

The Spitfires head into matchday eleven in eleventh place, four points and six places above Gateshead in the table.

Lee Bradbury’s side picked three points at home against FC Halifax Town in their last outing, courtesy of a Charlie Carter goal in a move that followed a Joe McDonnell penalty save.

On the road, the Hampshire side have been less fortunate, with just one victory, and will be looking to change their fortunes today.

Danny Whitehall tops the scoring charts for the Spitfires with the four goals so far this season.

Previous Meetings:

Eastleigh have had the better fortunes in the ten previous meetings, winning on four occasions and drawing three times.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides in three years as Gateshead return to the division after winning the 2021/22 National League North.

The Spitfires did the double over the Heed with successive 1-0 wins in their last season together.
